I just finished this on vacation. What a great day, 29 degrees up in the mountains near Palm Springs. It will be available framed shortly. Limited edition giclee's will also be available they will be signed and will have certificates of authenticity.
I used the painting for the image in my holiday card as well. You can see that the card is only a portion of the original painting. The original painting will be available shortly framed. Limited edition giclee's are available now for pre-printing orders. I am considering making the card available next year as well.
 I hope you like it!

Updates - Projects - Newly Completed Works - Thoughts - Goings On
Oh my goodness it was hot!
On Saturday we had 97 degrees and 101 on Sunday! I am very thankful for my sister and several of my best friends, and even my very friendly booth neighbors. We all kept each others spirits up and joked and helped as needed. Otherwise, the time would have dragged on minute by slow cooked minute! The public was very brave coming out in the heat to support the event, but as you can imagine, days that hot are not very motivating for shopping.
There were so many dogs. There was a Great Pyrenees puppy, at a mere 42 lbs, who decided he had enough. He sat down and couldn't be budged until he cooled off in the shade! We made friends with min-pins, cockapoos, King Charles spaniels, ridgebacks, a whippet, chihuahuas, miniature border collie, goldens, and labs. We saw malamutes, huskies, a Burmese Mountain dog, and there was a gorgeous boxer.
There was just as much variety in the people we met. I sold an original watercolor, but forgot to take a photo with my very first public customer! Additionally, people stopped by and gave me a lot of positive feedback. We invited many many people to come in and sit and get out of the glare of the sun.
Here is a picture of my booth.
I know one thing, I will probably not run into weather any more hot than we did this weekend!
Take care, and stay out of the heat!

Camellias - Demonstration

In today's Newsletter, the subjects are the upcoming festival "Art on the Main" in Walnut Creek, May 16 and 17.
It is quite last minute, but I was invited to apply at the festival, and my paperwork is in progress.
Look for me there, where I am planning to demonstrate and customize "Camellias". This work is from an original pen and ink drawing. I take the high quality reproductions (giclee's), and per the collectors' preference, hand color the flowers and leaves. Many of my other originals will be available for sale, along with giclee's of them.

Hello everyone! I am very excited to be working with FineArtStudioOnline.com, as my new marketing tool for my art. I also have a brand new resource that is local, producing my archival quality giclee's. So turn around times should be shorter.
Let me know what you think of the site. It has a lot of features, so check back later too, since it is taking me a while to get to them all.
Subscribe to my email list and I will send updates on gallery shows, festivals and other venues where you can catch me. There is an RSS feed if you prefer, to control the contact from your end. It automatically sends updates and new blog information to you. It is the orange square with white arcs, over on the left of the blog.
Remember....Art is a Snapshot of the Essence, and just like stopping to smell the roses....stop and blink and notice what you are seeing, or hearing, smelling, tasting or feeling on your skin, or in your heart...gather the Essence and make it yours!
